Christmas!

There was so much going on this Christmas season.  We started it off with a birthday party for Abuela.

 Que lo muerda!  Que lo muerda!  "Bite it!  Bite it!"

Then Sadie, Blaze and I got sick.  First Sadie got strep and scarlet fever (a rash that develops in some people who have strep - sounds way worse than it is).  A few days later Blaze got bronchiolitis and then I got strep.  It was an awful, sleepless two weeks.  A huge thanks to Juan for taking care of all of us on top of working his day job, my Mom who came one day to clean our house, and Abuela and Mami Chuy who came another day and washed our dishes and folded the laundry.  What a huge help that was!

This Christmas was especially memorable because Rachel came in from London and stayed with us a few days.  I loved "doing life" with her again.  She's a lovely person - beautiful, personable, generous, wise, funny, and caring.  I'm honored that she calls me her best friend.

  We also got to hang out with Wujek Conrad and Ciocia Evita who are ENGAGED and to be wed this August.  We are so excited for you guys!

 Sadie's going to be one of the FLOWER GIRLS!

 Brittney joined us for Christmas Eve dinner at my grandma's again.  I love Brittney so much and so do my kids.  I love that Sadie randomly brings her up in conversation, thinks of her when we pray, and two months later still brings up the time when Brittney exited our truck butt first.  Hahaha!
