Pretty in Pink...and in Sunglasses

Last weekend we went to see Matthew perform at his annual polish school dance recital.  Sadie really enjoyed watching the kids dance around last year, so I was curious to see how she'd react this year now that she's "mobile".  She had a great time as I expected...she was out on the dance floor shaking her little booty and meeting friends everywhere she went...she gets that from her Papi.  :)

Our little princess is growing up so fast.  At her 15 month check up today she weighed 22 lbs 4 ounces and was 32 inches long.  She had two shots and a finger prick and didn't cry at all!  She's still not walking, although she knows how, but she's very keen to experiment with different ways of moving around: climbing, crawling, jumping, rolling and her favorite "kneeing" around.  Her vocabulary includes:  Elmo, papa, mama, hot, hello, bye bye, ball, and most recently thank you.  When she's not speaking English (weird because I talk to her in Polish all day) she's jibber jabbering in baby talk which is such a joy to listen to.  She's still a happy baby but is learning very quickly how to throw a tantrum.

A few of my favorite things about Sadie...

she uses anything from a toothbrush to a cookie and pretends to talk on the phone with it
the way she calls me "Mama" in her high-pitched voice
she has smelly feet

says "Mmm" when she eats, especially bbq sauce and mac and cheese

shows violent affection toward her teddy bears (this includes bitting their nose, followed by violent shaking and hugging)
she barks at all animals - birds, dogs, cows, pigs, cats, fish - you name it, she barks
and she looks cool in sunglasses :)
