A couple months ago (I know, I am so behind on my posts!) we set out to see Rachel compete in the Chicago Triathlon. She’s been training for it all year so I thought it deserved it’s own post. ;)
The Chicago Triathlon is the world's largest - about 10,000 triathletes completed the event this year. The race was a tough one, with very choppy waters and strong winds, not ideal for swimming or running. For those of you wondering, the competition includes a .93 mile swim in Lake Michigan, a 24.85 mile bike race and a 6.2 mile run.
Congratulations Rach! The Quintero's are so proud of you! Here are some pictures of our day.
