For the past several weeks Sadie’s been slithering around on her belly. Every once in a while she’d brave it on her knees, but even though I’ve seen her rock on her hands and knees at times, she hasn’t shown much interest in crawling.
Until now.
As of this weekend Sadie is officially crawling… FAST!
Because she hasn’t been able to crawl from one corner to the other, we’ve put off baby proofing our house. So now that she is on the move so am I. She knows what she wants and which direction to go in to get it. And normally it's the opposite direction that I'm in. Needless to say this is the view I see of her most lately.
Here are some shots of her exploring. Let's go see what's over here.
Syke...I'm going to go this way.
Sadie loves grass. Any time we're in the yard it takes her but a second to reach for some and eat it! Funnily enough, two people within a week of each other told me that Sadie looks like a rabbit! One of them was a little girl, the other an old lady. So weird.
She is so much happier now that she can get around herself.
As you can see, it's time to baby proof our house. I've made a list of things I need: socket covers, locks for kitchen cabinets, a couple stair gates, and a non-slip bath mat. Our coffee table is round so I don't think I need corner guards for our furniture. Am I forgetting anything? Do I really need a toilet lock?
