A Girl and Her Dad

Sadie is a daddy’s girl through and through.  She greets him with snuggles and giggles as soon as she sees him.  She’s proud to be a daddy’s girl, and I don’t blame her…
When I look at Juan being a dad to Sadie, my heart swells with gratitude and pride.  I find myself sitting in a corner admiring him being in his comfort zone of daddy-hood.  It comes so naturally to him.  I feel so blessed to have a husband like him, and am so thankful that Sadie is blessed with a father as caring, thoughtful, fun, and supportive as he is.
Here are some pictures of Sadie enjoying her daddy:

On this Father's Day my wish for you is continued blessings from above.  For God's guidance, protection, and strength. Thank you for putting our little mama’s interests first.  We love you from the bottom of our hearts.  Happy Father's Day!

Sadie's Dedication

We dedicated Sadie at church (Church in the Citythis past Sunday. It was a special time for us to make a commitment to submit Sadie to God's will and to raise her according to the Bible, and to publicly declare our need for God's help in raising her to love, serve and enjoy Him.
The main word shared was that Sadie would be confident.  That her confidence would not be found in her beauty or personalty, but found in God.  That she will be bold and secure in her identity in Christ.  Also shared was that she will be a declarer of love, bringing freedom to people.  And one that brings my heart peace, that she will not have to fight the spiritual battles Juan and I have had to.  Scriptures read:
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.  He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."  Jeremiah 17:7-8
"I am the LORD; that is my name!  I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.  See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare before they spring into being I announce them to you."  Isaiah 42: 8-9
Our families made an extra effort to be with us which made the day all the more special. Thanks to everyone who shared in dedicating our little mama!  Here are some pictures:

We love you Sadie. We're trusting God for your life and for your salvation. I hope that one day you read this and look back on your life at home as the place where you learned about what a great, mighty, loving and merciful God we have.
