It's Chow Time Baby!

It's official, Sadie has had cereal. You can stop asking me if I've given it to her yet...Mom! ;) She has shown increased curiosity about what we're eating lately. She's been eyeing our food and follows our fork as it moves from plate to mouth. She sometimes reaches out to take it too!  In addition to cereal, Sadie has tried green peas, avocado, and bananas.  She hasn't been too crazy about any of them except the bananas.  I think she may have a sweet tooth like her mama.

I'm hoooongry!
 Hmm, what's this?
Trying to decide if I like it...
 I like it!
 All done!

At her six month check up, Sadie weighed in at 15 pounds 12 ounces, and measured 26 inches long.  Putting her in the 50th percentile across the board.

Sporting A New Do

Thanks to Bridget and Michelle for encouraging me to give Sadie her first pigtails.  They told me about special snag-free rubber bands for babies that wouldn’t hurt her hair – good thing because I was going to use my old orthodontic rubber bands which would have been a disaster I’m sure!   So I went for it!
Pretty darn cute if you ask me, but I'm her mom so I'll always say that!

Her second tooth came in a week after the first!

Spring is in the Air

The sky is blue, the grass is getting greener, and the air is fragrant with the smell of new life.  It's the kind of day that leaves most people feeling happy and energized.  Unfortunately Juan and I both got the dreaded stomach flu.  But that didn't stop us from enjoying the weather as much as we physically were able.  The "other" Quintero's came over for a BBQ.  We had a great time!
